Katie Holmes is still unsure why her cashmere bra look "took off" online.
Back in August 2019, the former Dawson's Creek actress stepped out in New York City wearing a Khaite cardigan and matching bra.
Pictures of Katie in the casual look went all over the Internet, and in an interview for WSJ. Magazine published on Monday, she maintained she was surprised by the attention.
"I love the brand Khaite. But I have no idea why that took off. I'm not sure," the 44-year-old stated. "I don't know what a cashmere bra symbolised in terms of women going forward-or backward. I mean, did I burn it? Perhaps the cashmere bra should just have the credit go to its designers, as it was a step in a good direction for women to just have comfortable bras."
Elsewhere, Katie opened up about working with stylist Brie Welch, whom she has also tapped to design the costumes for her new movie, Rare Objects.
"I love the art of dressing and how you can tell a story with an outfit. Brie hadn't done costumes on a film before, but she is a storyteller in the way she approaches her own style and her work on photoshoots," she continued.
Rare Objects, in which Katie stars and also served as director, is set to open in U.S. cinemas on 14 April.
