Music enthusiasts, this one is for you.
Montreal's very own 'Aux 33 Tours' music store had a HUGE sale over the weekend on the 14th edition of 'Record Store Day'. Surprisingly enough, the most demanded artist was Taylor Swift...
According to CTV news, more than 150 people waited outside of 'Aux 33 Tours' on Saturday morning, waiting to get their hands on the rarest and most sought-after records they could find. After Boxing Day, this is the shop's biggest sale of the year!
According to Pierre Markotanyos, the store's owner, it's the 20-25 year-olds that shoppers need to watch out for. This age group made its mark on Saturday, chasing after some of Taylor Swift's most popular records, among other artists. The singer's 'Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions' vinyl, for example, went on sale for $54.99 at 'Aux 33 Tours' on Saturday.
...and it looks like it's just going up from here! According to the Recording Industry Association of America, record sales surpassed CD sales for 2022, so it's safe to say that vinyls aren't going anywhere anytime soon!
What do you think, Montreal? Are you an avid record collector too?
