After the SPCA announced a record number of pets abandoned due to inflation, shelters are overflowing.
In an interview with CTV news, the pet protection group revealed that about 20 animals are abandoned for financial reasons every day in Montreal. That’s 113 more cats and 81 more dogs since the beginning of the year than for the same period in 2022.
