A recent study found something actually surprising about what determines the length and happiness of your marriage…
According to scientists, how many previous partners you’ve had could determine whether you live a long, successful marriage or not (and it’s worse in women!)
Now, you might be wondering why that is. If a spouse has had many previous relationships and partners, they might be hard to please. In other words, their previous relationships provides them with many comparisons to make to their new partner. This makes it difficult to create a “satisfactory” marriage. The feeling of something missing might always be present.
In other cases, some might argue that having a lot of previous partners might actually be beneficial. Previous relationships allow us to know what we truly want and what we’re not ready to compromise in a long-term commitment.
What do you think, Montreal? Are you happier in a marriage if you’ve had less previous partners?
