She's a multi-tasking, multi-talented and most of all experienced queen: It's Martha Stewart! At age 81, this kitchen icon makes history and becomes the oldest person to pose for the swimsuit cover of Sports Illustrated.
“When I heard that I was going to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, I thought, ‘Oh, that’s pretty good, I’m going to be the oldest person I think ever on a cover of Sports Illustrated,” Stewart told the Sports Illustrated. “And I don’t think about age very much, but I thought that this is kind of historic.”
Before making the cover, Stewart revealed the measures she took to get ready for the photoshoot, which included a pilates routine and cutting bread and pasta for a few weeks. “They tell you you look okay. That’s nice. They sort of reinforce that it’s okay to be doing what you’re doing,” revealed Stewart.
Martha Stewart is the fourth to receive a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover this year, following Megan Fox, Kim Petras and Brooks Nader.
