Hotels.com recently released its first ever Room Service Report. Revealing what guests typically order to their rooms, the results are...surprising.
From raw fish needing to be cooked all the way to diet water, here are the top 10 most unusual room service requests revealed in the report:
10. Eggless shakshuka
Anyone knows that a good shakshuka requires...eggs. So to ask for it to be made with eggless eggs is a bit confusing, isn't it? Unless vegan eggs were what this client originally wanted?
9. Bison
You'd think that a meat order made to a hotel room would include a good steak, a marinated chicken breast, or even a good old pork kebab, but no. This customer asked specifically for bison meat. Talk about having high standards!
8. Rice bowl for dogs
Studies revealed that it's actually okay for dogs to eat rice. But to have some delivered to your hotel room? That's a bit of a sticky situation, if you ask us.

7. No egg white omellette
Again, how is one to make an omellette if one of its staple ingredients is missing? If anyone here knows how to make an omellette using only egg yolks, please let us know!
6. Cockle popcorn
According to our research, 'cockle popcorn' includes a "crispy coating with vinegar, chilli and salt in the mix." In other words, think of cockle popcorn as your next favourite spicy movie snack. One thing's for sure, we know what we're having delivered to our hotel room next time we're away!
5. Raw fish that needs to be cooked
Have you ever brought your own raw fish to a hotel and asked the hotel room service to have it cooked for you? Neither have we, but someone did according to this report!
4. Boiled bottled water
We're trying to think of what the use for boiled bottled water would be...if you think of anything Montreal, please let us know!

3. Blowfish
Unless you're staying at a fancy hotel in Vietnam, we don't really see how you could order blowfish and have it delivered to your room...Was the person perhaps watching nemo when ordering this?
2. Melted ice cream
If you're going to order melted ice cream and have it delivered to your hotel room, here's a tip: Order a good old milkshake instead! At least that way, you'll be sure that it's on the menu!

And at number one on the list, we have...diet water. According to our findings, bottled diet water actually exists! The difference is, diet water has no added calories and often has vitamins, electrolytes or minerals added to it. The more you know, Montreal!
