Jenna Ortega resonates with her character Wednesday Addams' gothic style.

During an interview with Wall Street Journal, the Wednesday star shared one thing that she and her character have in common: they both feel most themselves when they are dressed in black.

"The problem is since doing that show, if I do wear something black, it seems like I'm leaning into character, but it's my genuine style," the 20-year-old told the publication.

"I genuinely resonate with Wednesday and the colour black. It's easy. And I feel the most like myself when I'm wearing all black, which is also why doing that job is really exciting."

Wednesday Addams is notorious for her gothic style, which matches her unforgiving, reserved personality. She usually dons a simple black collared dress with tights, black shoes, and long black pigtails.

Elsewhere in the interview, the Scream actress shared that she tends to opt for casual sweats when picking out her outfits in the morning.

"I'm awful at that," Jenna admitted. "Especially because I'm usually going to work, so I wear my personal clothes for five seconds. So it's just sweats, and I get cold really easily too, so I always go for a cardigan."

She added, "I have these red thrifted boots from the '70s that I'm obsessed with. So any time that I can find a way to get those in, I will."
