On Saturday, September 30th, Canadians will be acknowledging the third annual National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

While National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a statutory holiday primarily for federal government workers and federally regulated industries.

Seeing as the statuory holiday falls on a Saturday, many places of work will be closed on Monday, October 2nd:

OPEN:

  • Schools
  • Malls
  • Grocery Stores
  • Public transportation
  • Garbage and recycling services
  • Parking
  • Recreational services (community centres, swimming pools, etc.)
  • Museums
  • Restaurants
  • Pharmacies
  • SAQs
  • SQDCs

CLOSED:

  • Service Canada
  • Passport services
  • Canada Post
  • Banks
