Travis Kelce has divulged details about how his romance with Taylor Swift began.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end first attempted to meet the All Too Well hitmaker at her Arrowhead concert in Kansas City in July, however, it did not go as planned.
Travis has now revealed during an interview with WSJ. Magazine that someone in Taylor's inner circle had played matchmaker for them.
"There were definitely people she knew that knew who I was, in her corner (who said): 'Yo! Did you know he was coming?' I had somebody playing Cupid," the 34-year-old told the publication.
Travis noted that he didn't know who the matchmaker was until Taylor had contacted him directly. "(The cupid) told me exactly what was going on and how I got lucky enough to get (Taylor) to reach out," he said.
The sports star then revealed that members of Taylor's family had also played a part in him getting her attention.
"She'll probably hate me for saying this, but...when she came to Arrowhead, they gave her the big locker room as a dressing room, and her little cousins were taking pictures...in front of my locker," he shared.
Speaking of their first meeting, Travis said that he and the singer had met for dinner in New York.
"When I met her in New York, we had already kind of been talking, so I knew we could have a nice dinner and, like, a conversation, and what goes from there will go from there," he told the publication.
Rumours of the duo's romance began in mid-September after Taylor attended one of Travis's football games.
