Paris Hilton has responded to "vicious" online comments made about her son Phoenix.

The business mogul has spoken out about recent comments regarding her 10-month-old son's appearance.

"Usually, I wouldn't even dignify anything like that with a response, but I was just heartbroken that there are such cruel people in the world," the 42-year-old told People in a new interview.

"I couldn't believe that they could be mean and vicious about a little innocent baby," Paris continued. "You can say what you want about me, but this is my little angel. And if anyone ever says anything to hurt him or his feelings, I will always be there to protect him."

Paris' comments follow days after she announced the arrival of her second child, a daughter named London. She shares both children with her husband Carter Reum, who she married in 2021.

Paris said that she "feels sorry" for people who bully children online, adding, "They're that miserable in their lives that they would go and speak about a child in such a way."

Paris and Carter welcomed Phoenix in January of this year and later surprised fans by announcing the arrival of London in November. Both babies were welcomed via surrogate.

Elsewhere in the interview, Paris noted that many people have shown her support online.

"It makes me feel so grateful knowing that there's so many people in the world that love and support me," she shared. "Sticking up for me meant the world to me, and to have people looking out for Phoenix in that way, it meant a lot."
