Ariana Grande has confirmed the release date for her new track Yes, and?

The 30-year-old singer dropped a huge hint about the fresh material with a two-word teaser on social media over the weekend.

Ariana announced the news via her Sweetener Instagram account on Sunday, with the message, "yes, and? 1.12" followed by a heart emoji.

Fans had already correctly guessed the title of the new single after Ariana recently stepped out in New York City wearing a black sweatshirt with the words Yes, and? written in white on the front.

The single title has now been confirmed in the star's latest post, along with the imminent release date of Friday 12 January.

Ariana is set to have an exciting year ahead.

She recently confirmed the release of her seventh album, and teased there would be "two moods" to the tracks as she shared a screenshot of herself dancing, while another photo showed her crying.

The star has also been busy filming her role as Glinda opposite Cynthia Erivo for the movie adaptation of the theatre hit Wicked.

The movie is due for release in November.
