Give yourself a pat on the back, Montreal! The city has been crowned the second safest city on the planet for travellers.
Berkshire Hathway Travel Protection, a travel insurance provider, recently released its ninth edition of the "State of Travel Insurance Safest Destination" report, which identified the safest countries and cities to travel to around the world.
Factors such as terrorism, weather emergencies, and other safety issues influenced the rankings.
Montreal was the only Canadian city to earn a place on the top 15 list of safest cities worldwide, with Honolulu taking the number one spot.
Yet when it came to safest countries, Canada ranked first! Other countries included Switzerland, Norway, and Ireland.
So, based on the report's findings, it's safe to assume that a significant number of tourists will visit us in 2024!
