Usher and his longtime girlfriend Jennifer Goicoechea reportedly obtained a marriage in Las Vegas days before his Super Bowl performance.
The Burn hitmaker and music executive received a marriage licence in Clark County, Nevada on Thursday 8 February, according to court records obtained by People. A marriage certificate has not yet been filed.
The news has sparked speculation that Usher and Jennifer could be getting hitched to celebrate his Super Bowl Halftime Show performance at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Sunday.
Usher, 45, began dating Jennifer in 2019 and they have a three-year-old daughter named Sovereign and a two-year-old son named Sire. Usher also has two teenage sons with his ex-wife Tameka Foster.
The Yeah! singer told People days before his Super Bowl performance that he was open to getting married for the third time.
"Listen, when you find someone that you know is a great partner, of course, it is an honour and a pleasure to be able to share life with someone who wants to share it with you and loves you, who you are," he said. "We've obviously made a commitment... for life together because of our children. It wouldn't be odd for us to get married.
"And we're going to be in each other's lives until we die, obviously, because we have something to share. That's beautiful. Our children. But not because of that. I really do feel like I have an amazing partner that I respect."
Usher was married to Tameka between 2007 and 2009 and to Grace Miguel between 2015 and 2018.
During his Super Bowl performance, he brought out surprise guests including Alicia Keys, will.i.am, Lil Jon and Ludacris.
