Although the weather doesn’t seem to follow along, we're approaching summer in Montreal, as the BIXI season has officially begun!

The BIXI network, with over 60% already launched earlier this week on Tuesday afternoon, marked the earliest start ever witnessed in the city. By April 8, 85% of the network will be operational across Montreal.

Rates for a season pass is $107, a monthly one is $22 per month and $1.35 for a one-way trip.

According to the BIXI press release, the network will have over 11,000 bikes which include 2,620 electric ones.

Additionally, BIXI also announced that they will keep their year-round service in the coming year after keeping 150 Montreal BIXI stations in use throughout winter.
