While we've experienced some beautiful warm weather this past weekend, which will continue this week, Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for both Montreal and Laval.

The alert states that "conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms capable of producing very strong wind gusts, large hail, and heavy rain this afternoon."

The government organisation recommends staying indoors during the potential thunderstorm.

The rest of the week will see more warm weather, with temperatures reaching 37 Celsius degrees with the humidex and a 60% chance of evening showers.

Thursday and Friday will be similar, with a mix of sun and clouds and highs of 25 Celsius degrees.
