If you were hoping to travel by train from Montreal to the Big Apple this summer, you will likely have to wait until September.

According to Amtrak's online schedule, service from Manhattan will be limited to Saratoga Springs, New York, until September 9. This suspension is due to maintenance work on the tracks following an agreement between Amtrak and Canadian National Railway (CN).

CN confirmed the maintenance and route suspension for the summer. Spokesman Jason Abrams apologized for the inconvenience in an email: “We apologize to our customers for any inconvenience.”

Currently, no statements about the suspension have been posted on the organizations' websites.
