Osheaga day one is officialy done!
One of the most anticipated weekends of the year is already here, and The Beat is here all weekend making sure we give you all of the scoop about one of Montreal's favourite music festivals.
But, before we say anything more - can we talk about yesterday's heat? With temperatures reaching a high of what felt like 90 degrees, the air was thick and sweat was enivitable. But, that definitely did not stop Montrealers from enjoying their Friday evening at Parc Jean-Drapeau...
The beauty of music festivals like these is having access to the variety of artists that you are able to see in just one short day. Artists who may be walking on the biggest stage of their life, as well as artists that have been touring the songs for many years.
The Beat had the chance to catch some of the many amazing performances from Teddy Swims, Melanie Martinez, Noah Kahan, and so much more!
Check out some highlights of Teddy Swim's performance here:
We got the chance to chat with the "Lose Control" singer moments before he hit the stage with Natasha Gargiulo. We covered all things from touring, the art of manifestation, and Teddy Swims' favourite French words. Check it out here:
And, of course, in addition to all of the awesome live music and exclusive interviews, The Beat 92.5 was broadcasting live from 5pm to 9pm with Natasha Gargiuolo right in the heart of the action of Osheaga grounds.
Make sure to come check out our tent where you can meet Natasha or even join in on our fun activation wheel where you can win some of our many amazing prizes from tickets to Lasso, IleSoniq, and so much more!
The night ended with Melanie Martinez and Noah Kahan as they closed the first day of Osheaga weekend with fireworks, fun choreography, and insane talent that took Montreal's breath away.
Did you know that Noah Kahan used to be an Osheaga festival-goer before he got to this level of fame? Neither did we!
As we prepare ourselves for Day 2 of Osheaga fun, all we can say is we are H-O-T-T-O-G-O for Chappel Roan and the iconic headliners of the weekend... Green Day!
See you there, Montreal!
