You might’ve noticed that we are big fans of Cameron Whitcomb here at The Beat (especially our very own Lee), which makes him the perfect fit for this week’s Beat of the Week!
The song was co-written with his frequent collaborators Cal Shapiro, Nolan Sipe, and Jack Riley, who also produced the track.
“Kingdom of Fear” was released as a single from Whitcomb’s 2026 album, Deep Water. The track takes its title from American journalist Hunter S. Thompson’s book, Kingdom of Fear: Loathsome Secrets of a Star-Crossed Child in the Final Days of the American Century.
The song has already earned a 2x platinum certification in Canada.
