Ariana Grande only started wearing pink when she auditioned for Wicked.
The singer-actress plays Glinda the Good Witch in the upcoming film adaptation of the hit stage show and got into character by dyeing her hair an icy blonde and dressing in pastel shades.
"Pink was never really a part of my life until I started collecting a lot of pink pieces during the audition process three years ago," she told Vogue. "Cynthia (Erivo, her Wicked co-star) and I have really loved to shop in character. Now, I love the colour pink and it feels like part of me."
To celebrate the release of the movie, Ariana recently announced her R.E.M. Beauty brand is launching a Wicked-themed make-up collection.
The 31-year-old did a great deal of research to ensure the range would perfectly capture the characters in the movie, and the limited-edition range even boasts a pH adaptive lip oil that changes colour.
"I pulled inspiration for the collection from the stage show, the movie, and the books," the star explained. "Of course, we had to come up with something magical for the witches."
R.E.M. Beauty x Wicked, which includes palettes inspired by Glinda and Elphaba, will be available on the brand's website from 1 October.
Wicked - Part 1 is set to open in cinemas on 22 November.
