Montreal’s Public Transit Fares Are Increasing on July 1

Well Montreal, get ready to pay a little more for public transit this summer.

The Greater Montreal Regional Transit Authority (ARTM) has announced that new fares will take effect starting July 1, 2025.

The last fare hike was in April 2024, when the monthly pass for the Island of Montreal increased from $97 to $100.

Here’s a breakdown of some of the fare increases coming July 1:

  • One trip, All Modes A: from $2.75 to $3.75
  • Monthly pass, All Modes A (regular fare): from $100 to $104.50
  • 10 trips, All Modes A: from $33.25 to $34.25
  • 24-hour pass, All Modes A: from $11.00 to $11.25
  • Weekly pass (Monday to Sunday), All Modes A: from $31.00 to $32.00
