Here Are the Montreal Streets Going Pedestrian-Only This Summer!

With summer fast approaching, it’s the perfect time for Montrealers to ditch their cars, soak up the sunshine, and explore some of the city’s cutest neighborhoods on foot.

Thankfully, the City of Montreal is once again making this easier by transforming several streets into pedestrian-only zones for the season.

Here are the pedestrianized streets and the dates you can enjoy them:

  • Mount Royal Avenue (Saint-Denis to De Lorimier): May 26 – Sept. 4
  • Mount Royal Avenue (Saint-Laurent Blvd. to Saint-Denis): May 26 – Oct. 16
  • Mount Royal Avenue (Saint-Laurent to Saint-Hubert): June 16 – Oct. 16
  • Wellington Street (6th Avenue to Régina): June 2 – Sept. 19
  • Sainte-Catherine Street East (Saint-Hubert to Papineau): May 15 – Oct. 14
  • Sainte-Catherine Street East (Saint-Christophe to Saint-Christophe): May 15 – Oct. 14
  • Saint-Denis Street (Sherbrooke to Sainte-Catherine and Émery): June 14 – Sept. 15
  • Saint-Denis Street (Sanguinet to Saint-Denis Street): June 14 – Sept. 15
  • Ontario Street East (Pie-IX to Darling): June 16 – Sept. 12
  • Bernard Avenue (Wiseman to Bloomfield): May 24 – Sept. 21
  • De Castelnau Street East (Saint-Denis to De Gaspé): May 12 – Nov. 7
