Kelly Osbourne has broken her silence on her father Ozzy's death.

The TV personality paid tribute to her dad by sharing lyrics from a song they recorded together.

"I feel unhappy I am so sad," Kelly, 40, shared in an Instagram post on 24 July. "I lost the best friend I ever had".

The social media post marked Kelly's first public acknowledgment of Ozzy's passing since he died on July 22, aged 76.

Her emotional words, accompanied by a "broken heart" emoji, were lyrics from the song Changes, which Ozzy first recorded with his band Black Sabbath in 1972.

He and Kelly later recorded Changes, with slightly altered lyrics, as a duet in 2003. Their recording entered the market at the top of the UK charts and to date remains the only number one single ever achieved by either of the pair.

Kelly had previously signed a statement from the family, alongside her mother Sharon and siblings Louis, Jack and Aimee.

"It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning," the statement, released on 23 July, read. "He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time."
