Montrealers are officially saying goodbye to the P$ Mobile Service app, which had long been the go-to platform for paying street parking fees.

As of today, July 31, the app has officially been discontinued and replaced by a brand-new platform: Mobicité.

Available now on iOS and Android, Mobicité allows users to pay for metered parking and select city parking lots, just like the previous app. But it also comes with a few new features, including:

  • A live countdown timer
  • A 10-minute warning notification before your time runs out
  • A map of the city’s entire paid parking network
  • The option to register multiple payment cards

The Agence de mobilité durable has also confirmed that a web version of Mobicité is currently in development for users without a compatible smartphone.
