We all know Montreal’s streets can be rough; our potholes are practically local landmarks. However, CAA-Québec just released its annual rankings, and surprisingly, Montreal didn’t make a single appearance on the provincial "Top 10" list.
While Montreal has its own internal "Hall of Shame," here are the roads CAA officially dubbed the absolute worst in the province:
- Chemin Pink, Gatineau
- Chemin Klock, Gatineau
- Boulevard Saint-Raymond, Gatineau
- Chemin du Lac-Saint-François, Saint-Hubert-de-Rivière-du-Loup
- Chemin Cook, Gatineau
- Chemin Notch, Chelsea
- Chemin du Lac-Héroux, Saint-Boniface
- Rue du Transport, Saguenay
- Chemin d’Old Chelsea, Chelsea
- Rue Principale/Route 132, Sainte-Croix
As for the Montreal-specific rankings, Rue Notre-Dame Est took the top spot, followed closely by Avenue Souligny and Rue Sherbrooke Est.
Earlier this month, Mayor Soraya Martinez Ferrada announced an expanded budget for pothole repairs. Here’s hoping that potholes in our streets will soon be a thing of the past!
