Cat lovers, rejoice! Montreal will soon be home to Le Miaousée, a permanent museum opening in 2026 dedicated entirely to our feline friends. The space will feature rotating exhibits, a rescue cat lounge, and a cat-themed boutique.

To kick things off, the museum is launching its very first pop-up exhibition in Villeray: “Miaoutréal: The History of Montreal’s Cats.” Running from September 12 to 28, the pop-up will showcase photos of 19th-century cats, modern art, and more.
