The second STM strike by maintenance workers began Monday morning, disrupting both bus and metro service across Montreal.

Around 2,400 maintenance employees are on strike for the next 14 days. During this period, they will refuse to work overtime except during rush hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Commuters are advised to plan ahead, as transit availability will be limited outside of those hours. The STM has published the precise service schedule on its official website over here.

The strike is scheduled to end on October 5, 2025.
