Montreal’s STM Strike Wraps Up Its Final Scheduled Day

Well Montreal, the past couple of weeks have definitely been rough when it comes to getting around the city.

Since September 22, roughly 2,400 STM maintenance workers have been on strike, disrupting both metro and bus services.

On strike days—Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays—the metro operated only during three limited time slots: 6:30–9:30 AM, 2:45–5:45 PM, and late nights from 11 PM until closing.

Outside of these hours, both bus and metro service came to a complete halt.

So far, no agreement has been reached, which means more strike days could still be ahead…
