Great news for commuters in the Deux-Montagnes area — the REM’s new line officially began running at 5:30 a.m. with trains every 10 minutes.
The long-awaited line faced many delays over the years, but it is now fully connecting the North Shore to downtown Montreal.
Here are the 14 new stations:
- Deux-Montagnes
- Grand-Moulin
- Sainte-Dorothée
- Île-Bigras
- Pierrefonds–Roxboro
- Sunnybrooke
- Bois-Franc
- Du Ruisseau
- Montpellier
- Côte-de-Liesse
- Ville-de-Mont-Royal
- Canora

This new extension brings the REM one step closer to its full 67-kilometre network, which will eventually include 26 stations.
