It’s about to get frigid, Montreal! While temperatures have been dropping steadily all week, the real deep freeze arrives this weekend… and it looks like it’s here to stay.

The chill begins Friday with a 60% chance of snow and a high of -8 degrees Celsius. However, the true cold settles overnight as temperatures plummet to a low of -23 degrees Celsius.

Expect more of the same for Saturday and Sunday: clear, sunny skies paired with highs near -17  degrees Celsius. Keep in mind that Saturday night will be particularly brutal, with lows reaching -24  degrees Celsius.

If you can, stay indoors and enjoy the view from the warmth. If you must head out, layer up and stay safe!
