If you’ve recently stocked up on frozen snacks, you should check your freezer immediately. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a major recall affecting 11 varieties of Pillsbury brand Pizza Pops due to potential E. coli O26 contamination.

The recall includes the following flavors: 3 Cheese, Pepperoni, Extreme Pepperoni + Bacon, 3 Meat, Pepperoni + Bacon, and Deluxe.

It is important to note that food contaminated with E. coli may not look or smell spoiled, yet it can still cause severe illness. Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, and watery or bloody diarrhea.

What you should do:

  • Immediately throw out affected products or return them to the grocery store for a full refund.
  • If you have consumed these products and are experiencing symptoms, contact your doctor right away.
