What a night for Canadian icon Nelly Furtado! During Sunday’s Juno Awards, the legendary singer-songwriter was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame by none other than her longtime friend, Drake.

The Toronto rapper opened his tribute with a warm “Good evening, Canada,” before reflecting on Furtado’s massive impact on his own career.

“While I was still dreaming, I used you as my motivation and proof that it was possible,” he shared, calling her his “North Star” and asserting that “nobody deserves it more.”
