You know Spring is truly here not just when the new potholes appear, but when the temporary car shelters finally start coming down!

According to Montreal’s official bylaws, the deadline to remove your "Tempo" is fast approaching. While the dates vary slightly depending on where you live, here is the breakdown by borough:

April 15:

  • Ahuntsic-Cartierville
  • Anjou
  • Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce
  • L'Île-Bizard–Sainte-Geneviève
  • Lachine
  • Montreal North
  • Pierrefonds-Roxboro
  • Le Plateau-Mont-Royal
  • Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles
  • Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie
  • Le Sud-Ouest
  • Ville-Marie
  • Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension

April 30:

  • Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve
  • Saint-Léonard

May 1:

  • Verdun

Heads up: If you don’t remove your shelter by the deadline, you could face a fine ranging from $250 to $1,000.
