Montreal’s popular brunch spot, Arthurs, is the latest restaurant targeted for non-French signage by the Office québécois de la langue française (OQLF).

Arthurs received a complaint from the OQLF regarding the word “nosh” used in their name and window display.

Restaurant owner Raegan Steinberg took to Instagram to voice her frustration, pointing out that “nosh” isn't even an English word—it’s a Yiddish one that means to snack or eat.
