Osheaga is officially over, and what a whirlwind of a weekend it was! For three full days, Parc Jean-Drapeau was filled with festival-goers ready to catch their favorite local and international artists from open to close.
Of course, The Beat team was on-site all weekend long, we caught tons of shows, sampled delicious food, and had the absolute best time!
Friday
Our weekend kicked off with a tour of the Osheaga site to get our bearings across all six stages.
We followed that up with a quick vox pop, asking festival-goers who they were most excited to see. Top answers included Zara Larsson, Sombr, and, of course, Saturday night headliner Tate McRae.
Next, we had a fun chat with singer-songwriter Max McNown, who we absolutely fell in love with! He performed at 6:10 PM on the Forest Stage, and it was great catching up with him before he reunited with the Montreal crowd he remembered so fondly from his last visit.
After the interview, we ran off to catch a few sets, including The Neighbourhood, which brought our social media manager straight back to her Tumblr era... the nostalgia was real!
Speaking of nostalgia, Friday’s headliners brought the whole crowd together. Twenty One Pilots closed the night on a high note. The duo (Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun) stunned the crowd with their signature energy, some hilarious comments about the VIP crowd, and incredible performance.
Saturday
Saturday kicked off with a plot twist: Angine de Poitrine was announced as a last-minute addition to the lineup on the busiest day of the weekend. Mark and Natasha found a hilarious way to break the news that we’re honestly still not over. Take a look:
We also caught Stella Lefty, an up-and-coming online sensation who was clearly thrilled to be at Osheaga. She showcased serious on-stage talent and gave off major Gracie Abrams vibes!
After catching a few more sets, including the surprising performance by Angine de Poitrine, we chatted with Heated Rivalry’s Benjamin Roy. He tried on one of our “I love hockey boys” temporary tattoos, which couldn't have been more fitting.
Then came the final two sets of the night. Our crew was rocking out during Sombr’s set, which featured arguably the best stage entrance of the weekend. The rocker energy was electric, and he was clearly thrilled to be in Montreal.
The night wrapped up with none other than Tate McRae, who teased her upcoming era with 2000s-style pop diva energy, incredible choreography, and nonstop charisma. She shared how special it felt to headline Osheaga back home in Canada, proving once again how much she's "Canada Down."
Sunday
Despite the rain, Sunday was a total blast. We started the day with backstage interviews with Billie du Page and Tia Wood, who both ended up crushing their respective sets later on!
Trixie Mattel also delivered an iconic, high-voltage set that gave the crowd everything they wanted and more.
Then the sun finally appeared in Montreal... and by sun, we mean Zara Larsson! The Swedish powerhouse brought her "Midnight Sun" energy to the stage in what was easily one of the best performances of the entire weekend. Halfway through her set, Larsson brought a young fan named Olivia on stage to join in on the viral "Lush Life" dance trend, the most adorable moment of the day!
From there, the nostalgia kept rolling with memory-filled sets from Gunna all the way to headliner Lorde.
Finally, iconic group Major Lazer closed out the festival with a massive EDM dance party. The crowd went wild the second "Lean On" dropped (and our social media manager definitely lost was vibing to it).
Overall, Osheaga 2026 was another one for the books. The food was delicious (the tater-tot poutine was a standout), the vibes were immaculate, and Montreal was more alive than ever!
We personally can't wait for next year's already and we can't believe that it'll be 20 years of Osheaga! Only 360 days left!
