Beat of the Week: MILEY’s “Bass Persuades”

Our millennial queen Miley has blessed us with a new hit song “Bass Persuades” and honestly since it dropped and we've been playing it on The Beat, we’re absolutely persuaded with how much of a hit it is!

The song was released through Atlantic Records on September 3, 2026, as the lead single from her tenth studio album, Bass Persuades (2026) which she released under her new acronym “MILEY.”

“Bass Persuades” has been described as dance-pop and post-punk with some 80s synth even! The song reached top 20 here in Canada and across other countries in the world.
