What age is appropriate for leg shaving?

On Vinny and Nikki this morning, we discussed what age is appropriate for girls to start removing their leg hair. One mother is getting lots of heat online for allowing her girl to shave at just six years old!

The mother, who posted on Mumsnet to seek advice about her situation, says she tried to convince her daughter she didn’t need to shave her leg hair… But to no avail! It’s a common issue for girls to feel self-conscious about their body hair, especially in visible areas such as the legs and armpits. But how young is “too young to shave”?
