Quebec is looking into the idea of using of COVID tracing apps, including one made right here in Montreal

MILA, Quebec’s artificial intelligence institute, launched a tracking app called “COVI,” that collects information then calculates the probability of catching the virus, or tells users which spots to avoid. 

The institute believes the app will help authorities lift some social distancing measures but the province isn’t so sure it’s ready to introduce this kind of technology.
