Our very own Meghan Kelly is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to healthy living and recently, she revealed a secret on how to beat those sugary cravings which might come in handy during Easter weekend.

With the holiday, the temptation to dig into sweets is everywhere but Meghan has a simple trick to help us restrain from eating to many sweets.

Studies at the Smell & Taste Treatment and Research Foundation in Chicago suggest that sipping a cup of peppermint tea and sucking on a peppermint candy (or candy cane) will help alleviate that sudden urge to dig into a fatty treat. According to the research, this trick has helped women shed one pound a week before and after Christmas.

And the reason is simple: Peppermint stimulates the brain’s satiety center, which helps you feel genuinely full on far less food.
