National Pizza Day celebrates one of our all-time favorite foods. Whether it is thin crust, Chicago-style, deep dish, or anything in between, pizza is one of our favorite foods here at The Beat 92.5 and to celebrate, we thought we would share this latest news!
A recent survey for National Pizza Day found only 3% of us don’t like pizza while 97% of us just can’t get enough.
Opinions are split, however, on the best type of pizza, and first place might surprise you.
According to the poll, the most popular type of pizza in 2021 is thin crust which accumulated 31% of the vote. Regular crust is next on the list at 29%, followed by deep-dish 18%, pan with 9%, Sicilian 3% and French bread with 2%.
And according to the results, women were slightly more likely to say thin crust, while men were more likely to say deep dish.
The poll also looked at the most popular toppings as well as the least popular. Here are the results:
