Montrealers age 60 and over can now book appointments to get their COVID-19 vaccine by signing up online at the Clic Santé website or by calling 514-644‑4545.

The city's regional director of public health, Dr. Mylène Drouin, made the announcement early Monday morning.

All other regions outside of Montreal in Quebec remain at 65-plus.

The move comes the same day pharmacies prepare to begin vaccinations.

Quebec expects to receive several large shipments of the vaccine this week from Pfizer, Moderna, as well as a United States shipment of AstraZeneca vaccines.

Thus far, 944, 793 doses have been administered in Quebec, with 315,364 of that given out in Montreal.
