Did you hear a loud rumbling sound early Monday morning? Nope - it wasn’t the garbage trucks!

Earthquakes Canada confirms that Montreal experienced a moderate 4.0 magnitude earthquake early Monday morning at around 7:03am in the Joliette region of Quebec.

According to Volcanos Discovery, “Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.”

Well, that's one way to wake up!
