The Montreal Italian Festival begins this weekend and we couldn’t be more excited!
Complete with virtual and in-person events, the Montreal Italian Festival (otherwise known as ItalFestMTL) is a time to celebrate the city’s Italian community and its culture through music, food, fashion, and folklore.
According to their website, “The Montreal’s Italian Week, organized by the National Congress of Italian Canadians in Quebec, is a non-profit and non-political corporation, founded in 1972, for which one of its missions is to promote Italian culture and promote multi-ethnic relations in the region. For this reason, the Congress has decided to offer Montreal citizens and tourists the Montreal Italian Week Festival.”
From August 6th to 22nd, Montrealers can enjoy concerts, a comedy evening, a fashion show, documentary premieres, a classical lyric concert, children's activities and entertainment for all. Some events you can expect this weekend include:
- Storytime in Italian
- Malocchio Moderno Film
- Culinary Capsule with Chef Davide Bazzali
- Ateliers du Musée Pointe-à-Callière
- Tendenza Film
