Festival season is finally in full swing here in Montreal and we wanted to give you a quick breakdown of all of the fun events and activities you can expect in the city this July.

Montreal is truly the place to be in the summertime. From our music and comedy festivals, to our endless list of restaurants and outdoor activities, there’s truly something for everyone to enjoy!

Whether you’re looking for ideas to suggest to friends and family visiting from out of town, or you simply want to be in the know of what’s going on in the city this month, you can check out the following list here:

The Montreal International Jazz Festival

  • When: June 30th - July 9th
  • Where: Quartier des spectacles
  • What: More than 350 concerts presented by artists from here and afar like The Roots, Clay and Friends, Allan Rayman, etc.


Fireworks at La Ronde

  • When: June 25th - August 6th
  • Where: La Ronde
  • What: Get ready for the 36th edition of L’International des Feux Loto-Québec in Montreal this summer. Expect themes like: Mexico, Canada, Italy, etc.


Bridgerton Experience

  • When: May 19 - July 23rd
  • Where: Arsenal contemporary art
  • What: Dressed in your finest attire, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in an evening bringing the Regency era to life in a most flamboyant ballroom and interact with actors dressed in exquisite period costumes.


Just For Laughs Festival

  • When: July 13th - July 31st
  • Where: Quartier des spectacles
  • What: Enjoy some of the funniest comedians in the world at this year’s JFL Festival. Headlining stars you can expect: Bill Burr, Kevin Hart, John Mulany, Chelsea Handler, Amy Schumer, etc.


Osheaga

  • When: July 29th - July 31st
  • Where: Parc Jean-Drapeau
  • What: The city is going to light up with some of the best music from top-charting artists like Dua Lipa, Arcade Fire, Future, Machine Gun Kelly, The Kid Laroi, and so much more.

Cirque du Soleil 

  • When: May 12 - August 14
  • Where: Old Port of Montreal
  • What: Experience the world’s best circus act in the Old Port of Montreal. This year, Cirque du Soleil will be presenting Kooza: an acrobatic performance with the art of clowning, while exploring fear, identity, recognition and power.
