Well Montreal, seems like driving around the city will become much easier than it used to be!

A new interactive map was recently created by the City of Montreal in order to help drivers with their daily travels and hold project owners accountable for their work in the city.

City officials said that the Info Entraves et Travaux map will be automatically generated from all the temporary public property occupancy permits issued by the city's boroughs.

"This is a major step forward that will help optimize the work of our teams in the field, while enabling the public to geolocate obstructions and avoid unpleasant surprises,” said Émilie Thuillier, the executive committee member responsible for infrastructures, buildings and asset maintenance.

Through the map, you’ll be able to see who’s responsible for the construction work, which area is occupied, the amount of parking areas affected and how long the construction is supposed to last.

Check out the new interactive map over here - and hey, maybe it’ll help you save time on your next drive in the city!
