Well, Montreal, how about that rain yesterday, eh!
While we’re not done with the downpour just yet, it’s safe to say that the amount of water we received yesterday was pretty memorable. In fact, it broke a 1945 Montreal record!
Environment and Climate Change Canada noted that 66 millimetres of rain came down by 6:45 PM last night, breaking the 1945 record of 32.5 millimetres for July 10, set 78 years ago.
One thing is for sure: the rain did not go unnoticed! Many Montrealers took to social media to show how bad the roads were and how heavy the downpour really was.
