It seems no one is safe from the city’s crumbling roads. The latest Montrealer to fall victim to the pothole plague? Mayor Soraya Martinez Ferrada.

The Mayor took to social media with a sense of humour, sharing a video of herself alongside the tow truck driver who came to her rescue after she blew two tires on Notre-Dame Street.

This year’s pothole season is proving exceptionally difficult. According to a CAA-Québec spokesperson, service calls in Montreal and Laval have surged by 75% compared to last year.
