Montreal school closures for Wednesday due to ice storm

With a major ice storm heading toward Montreal, several school boards and institutions have already announced they will be closed tomorrow.

Freezing rain is expected to begin early Wednesday morning and persist through Thursday, with significant ice accumulation forecast for the region.

The following schools and boards will be closed Wednesday, March 11, 2026:

  • English Montreal School Board (EMSB)
  • Lester B. Pearson School Board (LBPSB)
  • Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board (SWLSB)
  • Centre de services scolaire de Montréal (CSSDM)
  • Centre de services scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys (CSSMB)
  • Peter Hall School & Summit School
  • Concordia University (In-person classes and activities cancelled; faculty and staff to work remotely)
