The FIFA World Cup is currently going strong, and whatever team you are cheering for, one thing’s for sure… you can’t get Shakira and Burna Boy’s new song out of your head!
The Afrobeat and dance-pop infused track dropped in May 2026 ahead of the tournament, with a clear mission to send a motivational and uplifting message to both athletes and fans.
I love it! I’ve been having it on loop during my walks and workouts and of course blasting it before watching the games (Go Canada go!)
The Queen of World Cup anthems has done it again!🔥⚽️
The song’s title, ‘Dai Dai’, comes from an Italian slang expression that translates to “come on” or "give it your all" during a sporting performance. Beyond Italian, the track features four other languages, English, Spanish, French, and Japanese, truly merging different corners of the world.
This marks the fourth official FIFA World Cup song for Shakira, which she performed alongside Burna Boy during the opening ceremony.
Directed by Hannah Lux Davis and filmed in Miami, Florida, the music video kicks off with star-studded cameos from famous footballers Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé, and Erling Haaland.
